Road to Kruja


The road to Kruja is a long curving route through beautiful woods. In the distance, the town and the fortress.

Well... I was on that same road just yesterday! A few friends decided to spend the afternoon in Kruja, having lunch and browsing through the market. I spotted a book and actually thought of your blog! So I bought the book: 35 Years of Socialist Albania. I might try scanning a few photos and I'll let you know if I do!

thanks for the link to your blog - I'll certainly be reading it. I found several treasures in the souvenir market in Kruja, including a complete set of the 1961 Ylli magazine (many color photos and I suppose the closest to "Life" magazine in communist Albania). I have the "35 Years of Socialist Albania" - not an easy to find book in Albania nowadays...

This road is now ruined by the sprawling and destructive cement factory that leaves dust and debris everywhere.
